Welcome to Oklahoma Family!!! Miss you already!!!!

My Family came in March to come visit this AH-MAZING state of Oklahoma... um... that was sarcastic ;o) I wish they didn't have to leave. I honestly do NOT think there is ANYTHING harder than saying 'see ya later' to the people you love the most at the airport. There is something about not being able to watch them leave past security (so I think). At some point you HAVE to cut the cord and that is NOT my thing. It could be a week of absence, and this girl is shedding some serious alligator tears. In my case, I will see them again in 2 months, and you'd think I was never going to see them again. My co-workers were so kind as to give my husband some Kleenex for the ride home... needless to say, we BOTH used them. ;o) BUT A HUGE shout out to my padre, that man does NOT fly. And he jumped on that plane and OWNED it. Not saying I didn't get some FUNNY pics of Dad and Brother before take off, courtesy of mi Madre.

but THANKS DAD... and of course Mom and Brother too! Love ya'll!!! Next time don't go back!! XOXO

I <3 THEM!!

Whoa Baby!!

Our good friends just brought a new bundle of love into the world and I was honored to be able to get some shots of that handsome fella. Congrats Mama, Daddy, and Big Brother!! If Memphis is anything like his big brother, he will surely be a handsome and sweet young man. Look out ladies, these boys are IT!

 Yep! Havin' some sweeeet dreams!

And, I was LUCKY enough to capture this man SMILING! :o)

WHOA 2011

So, as you can tell, it has been, oh, 4 months, MONTHS since I updated this shin-dig. And I have some UPDATING to do!!

2011 is ALMOST half over! Can you believe it! It’s almost MAY! I've had the pleasure of getting a sweet little man that was born in March in front of my camera. Welcome Baby Memphis!! I had the best gift EVER of having my family come visit me at the end of March, all the way from Pure Michigan! AND, I am so blessed to be able to go home in June for my BABY brother's graduation from High School! He is the HANDSOME man I have posted at the bottom of this blog :o) He has sure grown up since I've been in the Tornado Alley, a.k.a. OKLAHOMA. He leaves for college in July *TEAR*.

Speaking of Tornado, there was a large storm that hit Tushka, OK on April 14th, a small town about an hour-ish south of where we live. It was estimated that over 70% of the families did not have home owners insurance. The school was wiped out, as well as several homes. There were 2 dead and several injured. In fact, this is the same storm that has hit 6 states and has killed a total of 45 people as of April 17th. You can read more HERE.

It has been slow during the winter months as far as pictures go because 1. I work full time and 2. Winter months make for some not quite pretty backgrounds since I don’t have a studio, YET.

I want to give a SHOUT out to my Grandma, a new FACEBOOK user and man, am I dancing! I think she was convinced Facebook was the work of the devil ;o) but she is at full force thanks to my family pictures. She was convinced to get on Facebook to be able to view pictures of my cousin’s and my pictures. TA-DAH! Love you Grandma!

Growing Family

My friend Carmina is expecting a baby in March and she wanted some family pictures before and after little Charlie Jo arrives. Which means: this girl is excited to get some maternity and new born pictures. This makes me very happy! We used two days to wrap up this session. The first day we ran out of sunlight and the second day it was all I could do to hurry as it was FREEZING outside. I had some troops, that’s for sure. Thanks for bearing with me!! I look forward to getting some more pictures of that baby belly and Charlie soon!!!

McAlester Senior

Austin. How do I begin to describe him. I know, Rob Dyrdek. Austin reminds me, to a tee, of Rob Dyrdek! Austin has a sense of style all his own, which made for an entertaining photo shoot. Austin is a senior at McAlester and wrestles for the school. He owns a burnt orange Camaro and is very proud of it and who wouldn't be?? Austin plans on attending college in Dallas this spring. Good luck next year Austin and in all you do!

My Awesome Sherman Cousins!

A few days ago I was blessed with some awesome company, my cousin J and his family. How cute are they?? J is a Marine and is moving from Delaware to Cal-i-forn-i-a, so along the way, Oklahoma was a great pit-stop. (at least I thought so!!) I had a great visit and was soo happy to have them be able to stay. Let me just say that I am very thankful we had Skittles on hand. T had just woken from a nap and boy did he have other things in mind than smiling for pictures. H was of course a ham, ready with a smile on que! Mom and Dad did a little bit of chasing and I did a lot of bribing with Skittles. Hope you Sherman's like what I got!! Love ya!!! OH, and I forgot to mention, they blessed me with a box of Superman Ice Cream (click on Superman for an explaination, for those that don't know what you're missing) and frozen Uncle John's Cider both from MICHIGAN :o). Am I a spoiled girl OR WHAT? Thank you guys!!! Everyone LOVED it!
Thank you, Thank you, Thank you Sherman's!!! Miss you already!

Have fun in Cali, Sherman's!! Hope to see you guys again soon!

St. Charles Senior

On my visit home I begged and pleaded my brother to let me take some senior shots of him. As most of you know taking pictures of my brother is like trying to pull teeth. But when I asked if we could take some pictures of his girlfriend AND him in the same trip, he was so kind as to ask her without begging. Seeing that they live about an hour away from eachother, I think it was a good excuse to be able to see one another on a school night. Either way, we were both happy and I was able to get some good shots of her as well as my baby brother. K is a very sweet girl and a good sport to let me be her paparazzi for the day. K is a senior at St. Charles and is looking to pursuit pharmacology in college!! Smart girl, eh?!!?

Congrats K and good luck next year!!!
